I prefer Hayley Williams. I don't like Avril's voice, for the same reason I dislike many other singers, it just gets on my nerves.

Hayley 8D. I like Paramore, but not Avril Lavigne, so, yeah. Hayley annoys me slightly though, but I still like Paramore and have all their albums and that ^^.

Both awesome songs. My fav Paramore songs are 'All I Wanted' and 'Brighter'.

I prefer Avril as a person, and Hayley as a singer. Hayley writes much better lyrics, and I prefer Paramore's music to Avril's, but I think Paramore are overrated. They did NOT, and I repeat NOT deserve to win their Kerrang! Award for Best Album this year, in my opinion, as I think all the other albums nominated for the award were much better than Brand New Eyes was. . . (yeah, I'm just really peed off that one of my two fav bands didn't win it T_T)

I agree, I don't think they deserved to win either. Brand New Eyes is an awful album, the only song I like from it is Decode, but I don't like it enough to buy or d/l it. Even they're songs from Crush get my nerves lately...so yeah, I think I've changed my mind about liking them. Tbh, I don't think Haley's even that good of a singer...

Their songs from Crush? Do you mean Riot!, because that album has the song CrushCrushCrush on it? Brand New Eyes is definitely my least fav album from Paramore. I prefer the first two albums by far. There are some songs I like on it, but the order they decided to put the tracks in was terrible, I mean, they put the three most similar sounding songs on the album in a row, which is a big mistake for any band, especially a band whose sound isn't exactly original (although I do like Paramore). Your view on Paramore seems to be exactly the same as my mum's, she doesn't like Hayley's voice either, and she thought Decode was the only OK-ish song on the album XD. I have decided that award was rigged. There were only two awards voted by people that I think went to the right bands. I could go into a fully fledged rant about the Kerrang! Awards, but I won't. . .

Similar sounding songs hmm. I think most new bands have that problem at the moment. I can't tell the difference between them half the time. Nowadays these new bands think they're hardcore "rock" or "metal", when they could probably pass for an opening act for Hannah Montanna or The Jonas Brothers ¬_¬. The new bands just end up churning out happy-go-lucky pop-rock, imo.

Urrg, Kerrang Awards >.<. I agree, they give awards to so many bands/singers that I don't think deserve them. It's so stupid. Like you said, they've given awards to a few people/bands who deserve them, like Trent Reznor (NIN) & Brian Warner (front man for Marilyn Manson) getting the Kerrang Idol Awards a few years back, but lately I think they're just giving awards out for sympathy.

They aren't really giving awards out of sympathy, as most of the awards are voted by the public. But I have to say, I don't think Dio would have got the Icon award this year if he hadn't died. I think we're sort of going off topic here. . . so, back to the topic XD.
