Thursday Chats

My mother joined a networking group, and since they have a chat every Tuesday, it insired me to think you guys should all join us in a big chat every Thursday. We can talk about anything.

Vorserkeien, I would like to know if this is okay with you.

For the rest of you, what is the best time you can chat? What time of day?

Where are you planning on holding the chats - presumably the chat box?

I have no problem with it, I think weekly/fortnightly chats are a great idea...just wonder if it'll more successful than my previous attempts on W-U Razz

. My only advice is that the weekend, Saturday or Sunday, might be better, on the basis that mid week people are usually at school/working, whereas on a weekend they might be able to get online at more varying times of the day.
Another forum I'm a member of uses 3 different sets of times on different saturdays of the month:
1) 6-8pm (1800-2000) GMT
2)10pm-12am (2200-0000) GMT
3) 4:00 am - 6:00 am Pacific Daylight Time - Australian timed chat

Sorry I didn't work out two GMT times - most things are requiring effort at the moment (give me 2 weeks Wink

)!

My suggestion is either 1 or 2 - or a variation of (#1 I think works out at about 10am PDT), which then makes it relatively accessible for members in most countries.

But debate away & work out what's best Smile

Its a cool idea!

But I agree with Vorserkeien that we should hold it during the weekend, I can't always come online during the week because of school.....

I'm usually online on Saturdays from 09:00 GMT to around 16:00 GMT (yeah, I know too much internet time, but its just the way things are here... Razz

) and from 09:00 GMT to around 14:00 GMT.

I hope we can find a good time, this really sound fun!!

Yes, the weekend would seem like the most suitable time to hold them.

Let's see, I'm available:
18:00 - 06:00 on Saturdays
00:00 - 06:00 on Sundays

Err...I think the UK time zone is GMT+1, but I'm not sure ^^'.

It'd be nice if we could all go on Skype or something, then we could actually talk to each other. Although, that would require a headset & downloading the program...might be a problem for some.

Also time zones are a massive problem seeing as we're all online at different points. At the weekend I'm either on all day or not at all on Saturday and on Sunday one week i'm on all day then the week after it alternates when i go to my nans. But yeah, I'd try to make any time Razz

Um... And time zone is GMT if that helps, (no plus or minus anything, the Greenwich Meridian line runs through the next town xD )

The UK time zone is GMT + 00, because GMT is Greenwich Mean Time, and Greenwich is part of London.

I'm usually online during the evenings, between 7pm and 11pm, but on most Fridays, 10pm-12am Very Happy
