| Blegh Blegh Blegh Blegh Blegh
My friend forced me to watch it the other day... It made me feel so sick... But I can't even watch Holby or Casualty XD Anyway all I got from the film was 'ewww', I didn't think the plot was particularly strong, but meh; I'm biased because I didn't like it.

| Apparently it's not very good. No, apparently it's terrible, apart from the CG aliens. But I've never seen it, so I don't know XD. | |

It is quite terrible... Although the aliens were kinda cool... For about five minutes. Plot summary (sort of) spoilers ahead. - Spoiler:
Basically some cat food obsessed alien's (Prawns...) ends up hovered over Johannesburg, South Africa because it's broken down. Humans on earth break into the spaceship and relocate all the aliens to a slum called District 9. The film properly kicks off (after a load of news reports) following a man called Wikus; he's handing out eviction notices in District 9 as they try to relocate the aliens to a newly built District. However, some of the aliens resist and when Wikus searches a particular building (with back-up from MNU) he finds a lab... containing 'The Liquid' -Dun, dun, dun-. Long story short Wikus ends up contaminated. At his birthday party he collapses (a few hours earlier he was like... leaking blood and had pulled all his fingernails off). When in hospital they take of his cast to reveal an alien arm.
The MNU now panic and take him to a lab where they force him to shoot at an innocent Prawn (the Prawn weapons aren't compatible with humans). Afterwards they plan to dissect him, naturally Wikus runs away. He seeks refuge in District 9 where an alien, Christopher, tells him to get back 'The Liquid' which can start up the spaceship and reverse the mutation.
Long story short, they get the canister and Christopher flies away promising to return in three years. Wikus can no longer be found and his family claim 'he is dead to them' and the rest of the Prawns are located to District 10.
The film sucks, I'd advise never watching it, ever.

| I'll watch it. For 5 mins, since that's how long the aliens are interesting. | |
