I find myself retreating into the safety of 80's music a lot lately. The majority of the new rock or metal bands, if you can call them that now, seem to be delving into pop or going too far the other way and end up growling/shouting/screaming all the way through their songs, well the one's I've heard at least. I wouldn't complain if their songs were half decent, but imo they're far from that. I want to find a new band that I can enjoy listening to for once >.<.
And what the Hell is wrong wth the Kerrang awards this year? Honestly! Imo, only a few awards went to people who actually deserved it: Alice Cooper, Korn & Def Leppard. I'm not much of a fan of Alice or Korn, but I feel they were deserving and Def Leppard definately deserved an award. An award went to Black Veil Brides, of all bands. All their songs sound the same and their singer has such a dull voice. *Sigh* I suppose it all comes down to opinion in the end ¬_¬.

The awards are all voted by the public. Well, the main ones anyway. All the icon ones and Hall of Fame stuff is chosen by Kerrang!. BVB have by far the largest fanbase out of all the bands nominated for that award, so obviously they would win. There are WAY too many BVB features in Kerrang! Magazine as of recently, as much as I actually like their music.

I was especially aggregated at All Time Low winning Best Live Band. But I guess it was the only award they were up for, so their fanbase only had to vote for that one. However, all the other nominees were much more deserving of it imo.

Hmm...I don't know who the other nominees were for the Live award, but like you said, they were probably more deserving than the winners...I don't like any of their stuff.

Oh well. It can't be helped. I suppose there's no use complaining about it...

Concerts are definatley worth going to, especially a band who are brilliant live, like Iron Maiden ^_^.

It was excellent!! It totally rocked!! I'm so glad I got the chance to go bounce

. They played for 2 hours, but it felt so much shorter than that. At one point, I thought it was over, they said thank you and all that, the drummer threw his sticks to crowd, but I'm so glad we stayed where we were, because they came out and played three more songs and one of them was Hallowed Be Thy Name, the one song me, my sis and my best friend were really hoping they would play. So happy they did ^_^. Unfortunately we had leave before the last song finished, or we would've missed the last train and would've been stranded XD. But, we really enjoyed ourselves and we're so going again when they come around on another tour albino

. Iron Maiden ftw!!
Oh, and the support act wern't too bad. It was Airbourne. It was a pity we couldn't hear the singer all too well, he was drowned out by the music most of the time. Me & my friend only knew two of the songs they played anyway XD.

Anyways...
